My name is Gretel Young and I am the Chaplain at Ormeau State School. I work as part of our school's support team. Chaplains are a safe person for all students to connect with at school, providing a listening ear, caring presence and emotional or spiritual support.
Chaplains are trained professionals, providing pastoral care for students struggling with personal or family issues, friendship difficulties, bullying, depression and more.
I became a chaplain because I care about people. I want every student, every staff member, every parent who meets me to come away feeling heard, supported and valued.
For more information about the chaplaincy service please contact me on (07) 5547 2888 –

Blessings,
Chappy Gretel
