At Ormeau State School the Learning Enhancement Teacher works with classroom teachers and other members of the school and wider community, to improve student achievement with a focus on literacy. Intervention and differentiated curriculum is strategically managed by the classroom teacher and developed with support staff.
Assist classroom teachers to identify, plan and support learning in the classroom through the differentiation process. Providing recommendations of support for students across all ability levels.
Liaise with teachers to promote effective teaching practices that promote student learning and achievement.
Analyse data to make judgements on learning strengths and challenges.
Implement Assistive Technology to support access to learning, engagement and achievement for a range of students.
Oversee school-wide intervention programs.
